As this was a top versus bottom clash Gornal fielded its youngest possible team with many senior players being unavailable. Gornal lost the toss and kicked down the slope in the first half. With this advantage Gornal applied early pressure and were rewarded after 10 minutes when a ball was played beyond the Birch Coppice defence by captain Worrall for Letford to run onto and she struck a powerful right footed shot which beat the keeper at the near post. Within a minute af the restart Worrall played a ball through to Moore who outpaced the covering defender before slotting the ball across the keeper into the left corner of the goal. Fellows produced a trademark run down the wing crossing for Linney at the back post. The shot hit the post and rebounded back to Linney who then shielded the ball before setting up full back Lewis on the edge of the area to fire in her from 20 yards. Next an excellent ball was threaded between the two central defenders by Arrowsmith for Moore to run onto and she made no mistake beating the keeper from the edge of the area with a left foot shot.
Good passing between Brookes and Arrowsmith opened up the play in the centre before Arrowsmith played the ball through to Letford down the right flank. Letford crossed the ball in to Arrowsmith on the edge of the area who swivelled to play in Moore for her to complete her hat trick. Letford then completed the scoring in the half firstly latching onto an attempted clearance which richoched off Arrowsmith and finishing with a hard low shot just inside the post. A corner from Moore was then delivered with pinpoint accuracy for Letford to head in from just outside the six yard box. Half time score was 7-0 to Gornal. The second half continued in much the same vein with wave after wave of Gornal attacks. Moore scored her fourth goal with a half volley giving into the bottom left hand corner giving the keeper no chance.

Another through ball from Arrowsmith released debutant Dixon who cut inform the left and hit a powerful shot over the keeper from an acute angle. Dixon then deftly controlled a ball played over the defence before passing inside to Moore who set up Letford for her fourth goal. Birch Coppice threw players forward and an excellent effort from their forward was plucked out from under the cross bar by keeper Brough. Centre back Green played a ball through to Arrowsmith on the centre circle who turned inside the covering midfielder and played yet another defence splitting pass through to Dixon who finshed hih into the top corner from 18 yards.
The final goal was then scored by Arrowsmith herself who collected the ball on the half way line beating three players before unleashing a 30 yard effort into the top corner.
Again the defence, this time consisting of Emily Green, Abbie Walker, Abbie Brookes, Girl of the Game Charly Brookes and backed up by the excellent goal keeping of Sam Brough, kept another clean sheet meaning that Gornal have only conceded once in their first four games.
