Gornal Colts FC, Gornal Ladies FC and Sedgley Scorpions FC are to merge for the 2018-19 season creating a new club, Sedgley and Gornal United FC which will serve the communities in the North of the Dudley Borough providing access to football teams and coaching at all levels from the two Academies which give football coaching to potential players from the age of 3, a soon to be announced FA SSE Wildcats centre being run at Ellowes Hall for girls from age of 5-11 with a proven pathway through to Open Age with senior Mens and Ladies teams playing in the West Midlands Regional Leagues and a second Open Age Ladies side playing in the Birmingham County League Premier Division.
The new club will be able to boast 30 teams currently making it one of the largest and best supported clubs in the Dudley Borough as well as further planned teams for both Boys and Girls at junior leavels and a Ladies Development side focussing on players aged from 16 to 21 which will train alongside the current teams. There are also plans being put in place for Mens teams to come in from ages 16 to 21 which will hopefully feed through to the current open age side.
Both clubs philosophy is to provide access to football for anyone within the community regardless of age, race, ethnicity or gender.

The new club is looking for enthusiastic individuals who can help in the growth of the club who can come in as managers and coaches on the playing side and also individuals who can help in areas such as team admin, media, and others who can help the club board to plan and deliver a bright future.
