It is with great regret that we announce that our Ladies manager, Gemma Hamill-Moss has decided to step down from the position of manager with immediate effect. Gemma has a 9 month old son Ralphie who she wishes to spend more time with and found it extremely difficult to juggle her commitment to the team as well as her job with the albionfoundation and enjoy time with her son.
In a statement Gemma said
‘So after a lot of thought I have decided to step down as manager of Gornal Ladies. It’s been a great season for me, the ladies and the club and I would like to thank all involved. With the recent birth of my son Ralphie I feel i cannot commit 100% and this would not be fair on the ladies or the club.
I wish the club lots of luck for next season, the ladies are a great bunch and I know they will do well’
Everyone associated with Gornal wishes Gemma and Sarah, who announced her own retirement from the game at the clubs presentation last week, all the joy and happiness in the world and hope they enjoy their time with Ralphie.
The team will require a new manager and coach for the coming season…..anyone who is interested in either position should contact Club Chairman Alan Moore via e.mail alan.moore@gornalcfc.co.uk, telephone 01384 468320, mobile 07540 722593
