The Ladies First Team are delighted to announce the appointment of David Ball as manager for the 2018/19 season.
David is a UEFA ‘B’ Licenced coach, sports therapist and qualified personal trainer with an extensive management portfolio that spans over 20 years in both men’s and women’s game.
Ball initially coached within Wolverhampton Wanderers community programe and advanced development centers in addition to founding and developing a local boys club, Tettenhall All-stars.
Ball went on to spend six years at Wolverhampton Wanderers Women’s FC with three of those as first team manager.
Following that spell which ended in 2009 David guided Stafford Town Ladies to a league and cup double in 2010 with his management team of Darren Turner and Scott Bird.
Ball has since held the position of Director of football at Black Country Rangers F.C where he continued to work alongside his ‘right hand man’ Darren Turner.
Joining David on the management team as assistant manager will be Darren Turner.
Darren successfully managed the Wolverhampton Wanders Women’s reserve side before stepping up to assist David Ball with the clubs first team operations. Turner has worked with David Ball at both Stafford Town Ladies where they guided the team to a league and cup double in 2010 and Black Country Rangers FC, where he was interim first team manager for several months.
Darren brings with him a wealth of experience in both the men’s and women’s game having also been part of the management team at Wolverhampton Casuals and Sporting Khalsa F.C.
We are also delighted to welcome Scott Bird as First Team Coach
Scott holds the FA L2 Coaching Certificate and is a qualified referee, Scott worked with both David and Darren overseeing football operations at Stafford Town Ladies F.C and managed the reserve side to a second placed finish in 2010, in addition to this, Scott is also a qualified teacher with an extensive, teaching, coaching and education management background.
Completing the Management Team will be Mac Simner as Goal Keeping Coach
Mac worked with the Ladies last season as Goal Keeping coach having worked in a similar position for many years with the U18’s team.
